Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

One of the most popular posts I see on Instagram, whether it be a food blogger or a friend, is a decorative smoothie bowl. While the trend of smoothie bowls continues to gain traction, many specialty shops are offering these treats on their menus all over the country.

I love making smoothie bowls at home using an array for fruits, and even veggies! Today, I am sharing with you one of my all time favorites to make: my Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl. Enjoy!

Smoothie bowl ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas, sliced

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Topping ingredients (optional):

  • 3 tablespoons vanilla granola

  • 2 tablespoons melted peanut butter

  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Directions:

  1. In a large blender, add sliced bananas, almond milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder and chia seed. Blend until smooth and no chunks appear.

  2. Scoop smoothie into large bowl, spread evenly. Add any desired toppings and eat up!
